Memories of Dreams Forgotten has announced on their blog last week that they have brought in former Blood Runs Dry frontman, Bill Carney, to be the band's new screamer and frontman. This announcement is hot off the heels of an announcement last week regarding the addition of "Katie" (last name not provided at time of publication) as their new lead vocalist.
The band is excited to present the new lineup, and has already posted a new song called "Nocturnal" on their myspace page featuring the two newcomers. Their first show together is scheduled for Saturday, August 9th at The Cove Niteclub in Geneva-on-the-Lake.

Bellbrook Jamboree Changes Location!
The Jamboree announced earlier this morning on their website that the festival has been moved to the Greene County Fairgrounds. The move will provide plenty of space for primitive camping, as well as over 300 RV hookups.
From the site:
The 3-day festival takes place from May 16-18, and tickets are already on sale on the official site.
From the site:
It gives us plenty of space for all of you to hang out, pitch a tent or bring in your big bus. Primitive camping spots will be available for $10 per person for the entire weekend. In order to camp you must buy a weekend pass. RV passes are available for $100 dollars, that covers the cost of the RV as well as a weekend pass for one person. If you have ten people crammed into an RV, more power to you, you still only pay once for the RV.

Squids Eye Records Birthday Bash
What better way is there to kick off a local label's Sophomore year than to stir up a psychedelic grungefest, you ask? Well, unless of course you throw in the dancing girls and free pony rides, but who asked me, right?
The Dayton-area label, Squids Eye Records is celebrating their premier anniversary in true form this Friday at the Night Owl while highlighting local talent with Romance of Young Tigers, Toads and Mice, The Sailing, and Grizzzzy Bear.

Dayton Music Fest '08 Submissions
The 2008 Dayton Music Fest will be taking band submissions from March 1 until June 29th. The annual festival has developed quite a buzz in the local scene over previous years, and has been a great opportunity for local bands to play out.
Those interested in submitting their band for consideration should visit daytonmusicfest.com and find the band submission page (which isn't up yet...we're assuming they'll make it available on/after the 1st). From there, you will need to submit your band's name, contact info/email, hometown, full website/Myspace address, and songs for them to review. Continue reading "Dayton Music Fest '08 ... »

There are a few small font issues that I'd like to fix, but this will probably be very close to the final look of OhioMusicians.org
What do you think of the new look? Remember, you can leave comments on this (and all) entry/entries!
